In the words of Apollo Creed, “there ain’t gonna be no rematch” if the Red Sox do not raise their game in the second half of the season.
It’s a tough draw having to face the Dodgers off the break. Series is rematch of last year’s World Series, but make no mistake this isn’t 2018 and the Dodgers are currently the best team in baseball. Nevertheless, there could be a window of opportunity for the Sox on Saturday.
The Dodgers’ Ross Stripling has struggled as Rich Hill’s replacement. He has been unable to get out of the fifth inning in his past two starts, surrendering four runs in each. Boston’s Chris Sale (3-8) has struggled all season and allowed five runs in each of his past two tries. Confidence is low, but Sale’s K-count is up to 153 on the year. Teams should light up the Fenway scoreboard. We will take the Red Sox for 20 units.
Bustered! Giants outslugged the Brewers 10-7 in Milwaukee. Frisco with five homers on the night, none bigger than Buster Posey’s grand salami in the 10th inning. Loss shaves our earnings to +67 samueladams.
