If you are a bit like me, Christmas is a special time for the family, but especially for food. And with several days off, it's also a good time to dive into some video games. So why not combine these two things with an official Elder Scrolls cookbook.
The Elder Scrolls: The official cookbook was recently published on Amazon and was written by Chelsea Monroe-Kassel. The author has previously written cookbooks based on the worlds of Game of Thrones and World of Warcraft, and is now heading to Tamriel for his latest culinary adventure.
If Skyrim is perhaps the most recent offer in the series, the Monroe-Cassel recipe book promises to take you everywhere in Tamriel. The description of the book promises to introduce you to "the various cuisines of the Nordics, Bosmer, Khajit and beyond" with 60 recipes from around the world. Having only played at Skyrim, I am curious to see what some Southern breeds have to offer, and I really hope that Khajit sushi will make their appearance.
The book is currently available for pre-order on Amazon (via Destructoid) and a hard copy will be available from March 26, 2019. Some recipes, including cabbage stew, sun-blown and the famous sweetroll of the series.
Presumably, everything will have to be updated in a few years when The Elder Scrolls 6 will finally be available. We do not have an official date (or setting) for the next game in the series, but I'm waiting for us to head to the Hammerfell desert. Until then, I'm just going to enjoy the diet of a real Tamriel warrior – whole cheese wheels, eaten at one time.
