Fortnite variants for Renegade Raider, Elite Raider skin, more leaks

The Fortnite v8.10 update is available and Epic offers skin variants for Renegade Raider and Elite Raider.

Fortnite update v8.10 update files, combed by dataminers earlier in the day, showed the maskless Elite Raider skin and its variants for Renegade Raider. After the release of the leak, Epic Games announced that skins were now available.

The new styles come in older outfits, allowing players to "see the face behind the masks" of characters wearing helmeted outfits.

Updated styles for the following outfits are included in the new update:

  • Scarlet Defender
  • Elite agent
  • Renegade Raider
  • waypoint
  • Superior
  • Whiteout

You can expect more outfit styles and other "large scale enhancements" such as lighting and day / night cycle enhancements, wraparound visual effects and more.

Epic also said he expects new animations and new consumable effects, such as characters "popping the lid" and drinking slurp juice.

The studio has announced that all health consumables will be updated to make the gameplay feel "more immersive than ever".

According to Fortnite Insider, the Waypoint Wrap has another variant without a mask and has been unlocked with the v8.01 update for those who have the appearance in their locker.

New variants of Whiteout and Overtaker have also been seen and, like the above, will be available for those who own the original skin. Check out the new skinning variants below, which include variants for Renegade Raider and Scarlet Defender (thanks Fortnite News).

Previous leaks announced earlier in the day include an in-game event called "Going Green," which will take place in St. Patrick's Day. All loot will now be common and green, only the booty Buried Treasure is more rare.
