Jalen Ramsey expected to play after ‘heart-to-heart’ with Shad Khan

Perhaps Jalen Ramsey and the Jaguars can still salvage their relationship.

Jags owner Shad Khan says he expects Ramsey to play this week against the Saints after missing two games amid a trade request and a back injury, and Khan indicated the two sides are working toward patching things up.

“I think he’s gonna be playing this week,” Khan told The Street. “You’ve got to balance what’s good for the team with what the individual maybe wishes it might be. … I met with him a couple of days ago. We had a heart-to-heart and I think we’ll be able to come to whatever makes sense for all.”

Khan said earlier this month he had no plans to trade the Pro Bowl cornerback, but if a desperate team made a crazy offer, things would change.

Asked by The Street if he’d trade Ramsey for five first-round picks, Khan laughed and said, “Do you understand value? Then I think you already know the answer.”

Ramsey, 24, is under contract through the 2020 NFL season. He was set to be limited in practice Thursday for a second straight day after seeing a back specialist in Houston.
