The personal collection of late style icon and former princess Lee Radziwill is going up for auction at Christie’s.
In October 2019, the auction house will launch an exhibition and sale of some of the enviable possessions and art collection of the socialite and younger sister of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who passed away in February 2019.
According to a press release from Christie’s, “fine and decorative art from her homes in Paris and New York feature prominently in the collection, as well as books, costume jewelry, photography and memorabilia.”
Radziwill was friends with, and often a muse for, many of the biggest cultural figures of the 20th century, including Truman Capote, Andy Warhol, Peter Beard, Giorgio Armani, Marc Jacobs, Sofia Coppola and the Rolling Stones.
“Lee Radziwill is remembered by all who knew her as a symbol of sophistication and connoisseurship, with a fascinating life story,” Marc Porter, the Chairman of Christie’s Americas, wrote in the release.
