Phylicia Rashad's new project, "David Makes Man," follows a 14-year-old man who is forced to quickly become a sturdy man.
While promoting the show, the actress told us that her father was his own good man model. After the divorce of her parents when she was a child, Rashad told Page Six that his father's new wife wanted him to move from their hometown of Houston.
"Atlanta was a different scene in Houston – a lot more fun, I thought," she told us. "He said," I will never leave my children. "He has always been there for us, even in adulthood, my father would go to New York to watch me. [onstage]. "
Rashad, the drama of the arrival to adulthood, will be broadcast Wednesday on the channel OWN.
