Pokémon manholes installed across Japan

Japanese towns and villages across the country have their own look designs. Each is unique and reflects the culture, history or beauty of the region. Rightly, the country has now Pokémon mouths of sewer.

Earlier this year, the city of Ibusuki unveiled a series of Eevee themed sewer vents. Here are what the typical human holes of the city look like:

Why does this city have manholes in Eevee? Ibusuki sounds like "Eevee suki" or "Eevee likes."

Pokémon's hosting glances try to establish links with the region, either visually or by other thematic means. For example, the Roche-type Pokémon, Geodude, Tyrunt, and Onix, have their own manholes in Iwate Prefecture, because "iwa" () refers to rocks.

according to Time Out Tokyoit's part of a project called Pokémon Local Acts, which aims to attract local tourism. Watching a manhole is a popular hobby during trips to Japan, and people like to watch different manholes across the country while traveling.

In addition, they double as Pokéstops in Pokemon Goso more than manholes!
