Only a few months have passed since the release of Metro Exodus, the third game in the critically acclaimed Metro 2033 series. We did not expect to hear about the next game from developer 4A Games for a while. Well, that's precisely what we got thanks to the publisher THQ Nordic, because 4A Games is working not only on a new game – it's a new Metro game, no less.
THQ Nordic CEO Lars Wingefors spoke with investors and revealed in a presentation that the new Saints Row game was not "under development", but that the Metro Exodus suite was already set developed by the creators of the 4A Games series.
We had previously heard that the team was working on an "undisclosed AAA project", but until now, we did not know that plans were in place for a fourth Metro 2033 match. Metro Exodus seemed to be a success. Indeed, in the investor meeting report, THQ Nordic notes how far Deep Silver – which it owns – has been successful last quarter, which the publisher attributes to "the continued strength of Metro Exodus".
Even though the revelation of a new Metro game did not feature in this report, despite the revelations regarding Saints Row 5, TimeSplitters 4 and Dead Island 2, Twitter's user 'Nathan', who attended the presentation for investors, noted the announcement regarding 4A Games & # 39; next project.
The new Saints Row game from Volition is "well advanced in development" and 4A Games is indeed working on the upcoming Metro game, Wingefors said during the investor presentation.

Despite the continued growth and critical success of the series, the revelation of a new Metro game is still a bit startling. Metro Exodus had the principle of moving away from the subway and, without spoiling anything, the events that occur make it difficult to follow.
In addition, after working on the series for three games for more than ten years, you would have thought that 4A Games would be ready for a break. Apparently no, but do not expect to hear much about Metro's next game for a while.
