Machine Games will release an update for Wolfenstein: Youngblood this week and, once applied, you will be able to pause the game offline.

Patch 1.0.4 will be released later this week for Wolfenstein: Youngblood.

In addition to the ability to pause the game offline, the patch will correct the problems faced by players to reach the end of games at 100%.

You can expect the patch to arrive first on PC, then a few days later on PS4 and Xbox One. Information on the scheduled date for the switch update will be provided at a later date.

The team also provided a preview of the 1.0.5 update, which deals with game difficulty and progress issues.

The release notes for Update 1.0.4 are shown below, with version 1.05. Overview.

Wolfenstein: Release Notes for Youngblood Update 1.0.4

Gameplay – All platforms

  • Added the ability to pause the game in OFFLINE mode only. Note of dev: Although we have thoroughly tested this feature, if you have problems, please report it by submitting a support ticket..
  • Removed the possibility of opening the padlocked doors on the wrong side, as this posed some problems with the progress of the mission
  • Customer players will again suffer normal damage from environmental explosions (fire extinguishers, fuel tanks, etc.)
  • Players will now be able to correctly grab friendly and enemy grenades after taking the Grenade God upgrade
  • Clients' players had health and ammunition fully restored under certain circumstances after recovering a heavy weapon
  • Uberhammer projectiles will now explode properly in all conditions
  • Solved the following problem: A player could rotate in the wrong direction while interacting with elevator levers

Art and graphics – All platforms

  • Improved animation when displaying your sisters opening crates Shared Life (eliminates teleportation)
  • Resolved various audio issues, including the resolution of audio interruptions after the upgrade of the flashlight weapon on the Kugelgewehr.

User Interface – All platforms

  • The Protohund marker on the "Destroy Protohund" and "Recover Box" missions will no longer appear on the mini-map when the mission is not set to active.
  • Opening the log while enabling quick moves now interrupts fast moving. This fixes a variety of issues with the loading and the user interface.
Fixed a reticle problem that could cause the reticle of your weapon to appear in Wolfenstein: Youngblood when playing the "classic" Wolfstone 3D arcade game in the Paris catacombs.
  • Fixed a problem that could prevent the "call for help" from being available after using a shared life. "Call for help" should now be available if the player is down but his sister is alive
  • Fixed a problem when performing certain actions when opening the game options menu that may cause the permanent tilt of the camera

Xbox One

  • Fixed a problem that caused some players to create an online game while they chose the Offline option.

Audio – All platforms

  • Resolved various audio issues, including the resolution of audio interruptions after the upgrade of the flashlight weapon on the Kugelgewehr.

Coop Online – All platforms

  • Fixed a network packet problem that could cause a disconnection of the session when too many explosions occurred in cooperation, which resulted in the players' failure of their game cooperatively.
  • Resolution of the crash that may occur with the client in a cooperative game using Crush, then immediate attack of the enemy in close combat

  • Fixed an error message that players would receive if their Steam Privacy settings were set to Friends Only. Note that your Steam profile must be set to Public so that you can see Steam friends via the game's invitation menu.

Bug fixes – All platforms

  • The enemies will no longer float in the air next to the aisles of Lab X
  • The last weapon used was not properly equipped when the player dropped a heavy weapon
  • Resolved issue where enemies could get stuck fluttering during "Lothar and Juju's Trap" mission

  • Editing the error message "Unable to write crash dump" so that it is more descriptive. Crash Dumps are files containing information about a crash. This message appears whenever an incident has occurred – which may occur for different reasons – and may have led to a confusion that "Unable to write a crash dump" was a specific error. Since these files tend to be large (~ 58MB), writing Crash Dump remains disabled by default. The new message gives explicit instructions on how to enable Crash Dump writing if you choose to help diagnose the cause of your crash.

Overview of the update 1.0.5

  • An option to enable / disable enemy health bars
  • Facilitate the completion of the game at 100%
